I bought the older (and white) version with 3 USB C and 1 USB A. Works great to run my work laptop at home (and get less hot than the bigger power brick that came with the laptop), but also really compact and versatile for travelling with. Charged all our devices without a hiccup on a recent NZ trip. Looking forward to test out the different country plugs on a bigger trip at the end of the year.
I recently purchased the Powerpod 100W GaN charger, and I must say, I’m highly satisfied with its performance. It efficiently charges multiple devices simultaneously with just one compact charger. The ability to interchange different country plugs is a convenient feature, making it versatile for travel or home use. It has become my go-to charger whether I’m on the go or at home.
Have had this charger for a couple of months and it’s been great for travel.Everything I charge connects via USB-C so the 4 ports are ideal,the case is an added bonus.
The Powerpod 100w charger is great in that I can charge multiple smaller devices (up to 4) or one big device (my ASUS ROG G15 gaming laptop via usb-c, though it is important to note that it can’t charge it when gaming, only when it is running standard tasks and/or in battery saver mode).
I have enjoyed the option for the charger to plug straight into the wall, or to have the extended cable that gives considerable reach. This is perfect for numerous contexts (e.g., to use the phone in bed; up the back of my desk; airports/travelling etc).
The usb-c cable that came with the charger after about 6 months of use started to only work sporadically (internal wires became damaged) despite me rarely using my phone when it was charging. I ended up replacing the cable with a 90-degree bend usb-c to usb-c cable. It is important to ensure that is you want the full charging capabilities, that you also use a usb-c cable that is the right specification (i.e., 100w), otherwise you will be bottlenecked at the cable.
I have been really happy with this charger, and it lives perpetually in my bag which comes to work with me, travelling, and anywhere else I find myself. Apart from the usb-c cable, I have not run into any issues, and ultra-fast phone charging and the capability to charge my laptop is such a win!
I would also consider the convenience of super-fast charging, as there have been multiple times where I am going out, and need to charge my phone. In the space of 10-15 minutes, I can charge a substantial chunk of my phone (Galaxy S22 ultra) and this has been enough to get me through a night out.
When you rationalise the price tag as just a charger it may seem pretty steep, but when you consider that this is actually 4 chargers, or one with super-fast charging, and can charge a laptop (look at the size price of laptop power bricks), it really starts to look appealing.
Bought this charger mainly for travelling. Have been using it in Australia so far but about to try it out overseas. So far has worked perfectly using the Australian plug and various devices. Like the travel case which is quite roomy and was able to fit in other cables and adapters for travel.
